Header

Essence Pro

The Essence Pro theme displays the site logo at the top center section of the header. The search option appears to the extreme left side of the logo and a menu icon appears at the extreme right. Essence Pro supports the overlay menu and drop-down menus. To create a menu, users must navigate to the menu page. This page is located in the WordPress dashboard (Appearance > Menus).

Below the logo, EP flaunts the primary menu. When you click the menu icon, the theme will display the menu items in a beautiful semi-transparent overlay. This overlay is displayed over the header section and the featured image. As overlays might not be displayed on smartphones of users using ad blockers and data savers, StudioPress has ensured that the overlay menu of the theme appears only on desktops. When the user is browsing your site from mobile, EP will display a simple but stylish menu when the user taps the menu icon.

Layouts

Essence Pro supports the following 3 page layouts:

Full-width content: If you select this layout, EP won’t display the sidebar.

Content/Sidebar and Sidebar/content: These two layouts allow users to monetize the archive pages of the site with ads, display a list of posts that are not displayed on the page, and show social media icons. EP can display the sidebar to the left or right side of the posts.

WooCommerce

Essence Pro is a perfect WordPress theme for setting up a WooCommerce powered online store. The brilliant design of the theme and wise use of fonts, and colors make the site highly interactive. Thereby increasing the chances of getting new leads significantly.

Threaded Comments

When a visitor posts a comment on your page or post, other visitors can reply to him/her in Essence Pro as the theme supports the threaded comments feature.

Responsive Design

Like other StudioPress themes, EP is based on responsive design. You don’t have to change theme settings for mobile devices as the theme will automatically change margins, paddings, font size, etc when the user is browsing on a mobile device i.e. smartphone or a tablet. The responsiveness of the theme eliminates the need of using WordPress mobile theme plugins that usually cause SEO issues.

Footer

Essence Pro

The Essence Pro theme has a killer footer design. The footer area flaunts a large empty space that you can use to show the newsletter subscription form. Below this form, you can configure the theme to show social networking icons, copyright notice, or a horizontal menu.

Speed and SEO

A WordPress theme is SEO friendly if it is fast, has a single h1 element on pages/posts, valid HTML code, and doesn’t push content below the fold. Essence Pro fulfills these 4 criteria. Hence, it is SEO friendly. In addition to the above mentioned four criteria, the template also makes use of Schema Markup. For proof of speed, you can test the theme’s demo with the page speed insights tool.
